ENGLISHKUPASONLINE.COM – Free Fire is organizing the international Esports World Cup (EWC), which will commence this week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The competition features the top 18 teams competing for the championship title.

The total prize pool for EWC FF amounts to 1 million US Dollars, approximately Rp 16.2 billion. The tournament champions will also secure an automatic slot to the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2024 Global Finals in Brazil this coming November.

The Esports World Cup: Free Fire will span across three stages from July 10-14, 2024. The tournament kicks off with the Knockout Stage from July 10-12, 2024, in a group format.

A total of 18 teams are divided into three groups, with two groups competing each day. Hence, each team will play for two days to accumulate points in this stage.

Next, the top 12 teams will advance to the Point Rush Stage on July 13, 2024. In this stage, each team will gather as many head start points as possible as additional leverage for the Grand Finals on July 14, 2024.

4 Indonesian teams represent EWC FF
The journey to EWC: Free Fire began with a series of regional FFWS tournaments held worldwide, including the FFWS SEA 2024 Spring for Southeast Asia.

From these tournaments, the top 18 teams have been selected to compete in EWC: Free Fire, with 4 of them being Indonesian teams.

Group Draw EWC: Free Fire last week divided the 18 participating teams into three different groups. Indonesian teams, EVOS Divine and ONIC Olympus, will be in Group A alongside teams from Brazil, Thailand, and Mexico.

Meanwhile, the other two Indonesian teams, RRQ Kazu and Gaimin Gladiators, are placed in Group B and Group C respectively, facing representatives from other regions and countries such as Brazil, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
