Recipe for Making Chinese New Year Cake Baskets, Easy and Practical

Making it is also not as difficult as one might imagine. There is already an easy way to make this dish. Come on, try to make it with the following recipe.

Ingredients for 8 servings:

600 g of granulated sugar
600 ml of water
600 g of glutinous rice flour
50 g of tapioca flour
¼ tsp salt
Heat-resistant plastic/banana leaves

Cook 200 g of granulated sugar in a saucepan until it becomes a dark brown caramel. Add water, stir until caramel dissolves. Turn off the fire.

Add the remaining sugar to the caramel solution, stir until smooth. Remove, let stand until not hot. set aside.

In a large bowl, add the glutinous rice flour, tapioca flour and salt, mix well.

Pour the caramel solution little by little while stirring until smooth.

Prepare 8 basket cake pans (@ volume 200 ml), line them with heat-resistant plastic or banana leaves.

Pour 200 ml of batter into each pan. Arrange the baking sheets in the hot boiler and cook for 2-2.5 hours until the dough is cooked. Remove, leave until not hot.

Cover the surface of the Basket Cake with a piece of glass plastic. Remove the cake from the pan, trim the edges of the remaining plastic until it is even. Serve immediately.(*)
